What's in USDA's masala dosa
USDA's filled dosa is 70% plain dosa and 30% filling, and the filling it uses is a fried vegetable pakora mix, not the usual potato masala. Treat it as a guide to size, not an exact recipe.
Per 100 g it also has 2.2 g of fiber.
What changes the number at home
- A potato masala filling will give a somewhat different number from USDA's pakora filling. The weight of the whole dosa is still the main thing to get right.
- Butter and ghee roast versions take more fat on the tawa. Each teaspoon adds about 41 kcal.
- Mysore masala dosa adds a red chutney spread inside, which usually contains oil.
